Tip: do not overheat to preserve the benefits from enzymes. Reheat only for 30sec in a 1200W microwave or for 50sec in a 800W microwave1.

1Is it safe to reheat in microwave?
There is actually greater retention of many micronutrients with microwave cooking due to the fact that microwaves substantially reduce the cooking time of food. Also, microwave allows water-free cooking compared to boiling in which nutrients are primarily lost by leaching into cooking water. A study conducted by researchers in Cornell University showed that spinach retained nearly all of its folate when cooked in a microwave; in comparison, spinach loses about 77% when cooked on a stove as it is typically boiled, leaching out nutrients.

Have a good poop with Amazake
The following nutrients can help improve your gut microbiota and bowel movement.
  1. Water or Mineral Water: Drink enough especially during Winter as we tend to not feel thirsty.
  2. High-Fiber foods like whole grains, oats, popcorn, nuts, chickpeas, lentils, beans, peas, leafy greens, kiwi, raspberries, avocados, firm bananas or potatoes with skins.
  3. Probiotic foods like kimchi, sauerkraut, yoghurt or apple cider vinegar.
  4. Prebiotic foods like asparagus, artichokes, garlic, onion, banana, apple or flaxseeds.
And guess what, you can simply include all these 4 nutrients by drinking Amazake!

Made by fermenting water, rice & rice koji, Amazake contains both insoluble and soluble dietary fiber, probiotics and prebiotics. Its prebiotics comes from oligosaccharides, which are foods for good bacteria like Bifidobacterium in the intestines.
